Welcome to the Department of Mechanical & Automotive Engineering at Mathira Technical & Vocational College. Mechanical & Automotive Engineering is the profession where engineering studies, practice, and hands-on laboratory testing develop methods and machinery for the benefit of humankind.

Mathira TVC is officially designated as a **Center of Excellence in Welding and Fabrication Technology**. Our laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art digital machines including TIG, MIG, Submerged Arc, Plasma cutters, materials testers, and metallurgical microscopes. We emphasize intensive practical sessions followed by robust industrial attachments to prepare trainees for real-world competitiveness.

The department endeavors to fulfill its mission of providing academic engineering education through quality training, research, and community service. Our core functions entail training, conducting workshop practicals, and material testing in our specialized welding laboratory.

Our Objectives

To create and assemble metal structures and components using digital welding techniques and various fabrication processes.
To provide quality Engineering and Technology education that inculcates creativity and innovation for economic growth.
To develop an understanding of Concurrent Engineering and its importance to manufacturing industries.
To develop a deep understanding of basic manufacturing processes and the capabilities of each machine.
